Mangrove Training 2007 of KeSEMaT

Teluk Awur, Jepara. In 9 – 10 June 2007, on three sites which were dormitory students, campus of Marine Science UNDIP Teluk Awur Jepara and Arboretum of KeSEMaT, KeSEMaT had succeeded held Mangrove Training (MT) 2007: Training Research of Community Structure of Mangrove.

MT had aim to increase research spirit not only for college-student but also community. It followed by 20 participants from KeSEMaT, college-students of Marine Science and Planology UNDIP.

It started on Saturday by Mangrove Seminar which was presenting four speakers i. e. Kunarso, ST (Economic Valuation of Mangrove), Arief Marsudi Harjo (Mangrove Ecology and and Technique of Mangrove Sampling), Indah Kurniani (Mangrove Mapping), and Isna Bahtiar (Introduction of Mangrove Species). In the evening, there were Mangrove Discussion about Mangrove Structure Community Method who presented by Aris Priyono.

Sunday, it was followed by sampling in Arboretum of KeSEMaT. Sampling was held to get data about mangrove species (seedling, sapling and tree) such as diameter, height, and effect of men activities. After that, participants measuring temperature, salinity, pH and sediment type. MT closed by analyze data, evaluation and recommendation for MT 2008. [<]
