Mangrove Campaign in Bedono Village Demak

Demak, Central Java - On February, 18 2007, KeSEMaT got opportunity from Team 1 KKN UNDIP 2007 giving campaign about mangrove ecology and exploitation to increase awareness of community in Bedono Village Demak Central Java.

Campaign started at 10 AM until 1 PM. Participants was very enthusiastic accepting presentation which given by KeSEMaT, as speaker.

This event attended by youth community (Karang Taruna), delegation of NGO, SDN Bedono teacher, Staff of OISCA Japan and community around. There were 50 participants.

KeSEMaT deputized by Agus Susanto (MENDIKTAN), M. Ikhsan S. H. (President), Aris Priyono (DK), Dwi Mart S. and Pramitha Apriliani (Member) was explaining about ecology, conservation, seed identification, cultivation and mangrove exploitation. KeSEMaT was also presenting mangrove ecosystem from ecology and economic side to increase awareness of community.

In the end of the campaign, community was asking KeSEMaT to assist them conducting mangrove rehabilitation in their area together with OISCA and local NGO. [<]
