KeSEMaT Attended Seminar of PLTN in Jepara

Pengkol, Jepara. In May, 19 2007, KeSEMaT’s representatives Indah Kurniani (DP), Aris Priyono (DK), Isna Bahtiar (MENSEK), Nurul Fitrah, Windy Indra A., and Yanuar Noor Akbar (Member), attended Seminar of Nuclear Generator (PLTN) in Jepara.

This seminar had facilitated by local NGO called Masyarakat Reksa Bumi (MAREM) or Earth Society. It held on Maribu Convention Hall, Jepara, started at 9.35 AM. Not only KeSEMaT, there were many participants (up to 150) which was attending it such as stakeholders, religion-societies, NGOs, students, Jepara community, etcetera.

It had recommendations to against PLTN of Muria Jepara. They had assumed that in the future, the radiations of it would be damage human, plants, animals, and environment around it. Moreover, Indonesia had unprofessional of environment team study (e.g. LAPINDO case). 

It was closed at 1.30 AM followed by meeting of "PETITION 13" by participants representatives. [<]
