The News of Mangrove Cultivation 2007 Jepara

Jepara, Central Java - Mangrove Cultivation (MC) 2007 conducted by KeSEMaT during three-day (26 - 28 January 2007), successfully. MC which held in Teluk Awur Jepara followed by 24 participants and 43 committees. Participants came from student of high school (SMA) of  Theresiana Semarang and student-college from various universities such as UKSW Salatiga, Polines, UNNES, and UNDIP Semarang.

Event opened by representative from Jepara Regent then continued with seminar (January, 27 2007). Dr. Rudhi Pribadi (Lecture of Marine Science UNDIP) was presenting Mangrove Information Center (MIC) in Bali. Next, it was panel discussion presenting three speakers: Ir. Agus Indarjo MPhill (Dean Assistant of FPIK UNDIP), Zakariya Anshori (Staff of Commission IV DPR RI), and Ir. Yacob (Staff of Tourism Jepara). It was discussing about opportunity to make Mangrove Education Center (MEC) in Jepara.

Mangrove Cultivation held in Arboretum KeSEMaT (Teluk Awur) for about 3 hours. Mangrove seeds which cultivated was about 2000. It was from various species such as Rhizophopra mucronata, R. apiculata, Ceriops decandra, C. tagal, and Bruguiera stylosa. Before closed by KeSEMaT, committees was giving certificates for participants on January, 28 2007. [<]
